The Los Angeles Dodgers are turning up the heat on opponents everywhere they play these days.

With 87 wins and 34 losses, the Dodgers hold the best record in all of  Major League Baseball.

This team is really sizzling when they play in Dodger stadium with a home record of 51-14 in 2017.

The Dodger bats are blazing as Justin Turner leads the National League with a .344  batting average and Cody Bellinger is second in the league with 34 home runs.

On the mound Clayton Kershaw leads the league and is burning down his opponents with  15 wins and only 2 losses. His blistering ERA stands at  2.04. The team pitching staff has a 3.12 ERA and 38 saves.

Just when it appears someone has the flames contained, something blows it and fans the flames, as happened to the Detroit Tigers Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers, behind the arm of Fulmer, had held the Dodgers scoreless thru 6 innings when a 2 base Tiger error allowed the Dodgers to go on and score what would be the winning run.

Tomorrow will prove if Tiger Justin Verlander  can extinguish this record setting wildfire or will it have jumped yet another barrier and  swept through Comerica Park on it’s way to Pittsburg.
