The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Kansas City Royals Minor League right-handed pitcher Miguel Medrano has received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Program. The suspension of Medrano, who is currently on the roster of the rookie-level Dominican Summer League Royals, is effective immediately.

Washington Nationals Minor League right-handed pitcher Yonaiker Oropeza has received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Program. The suspension of Oropeza, who is currently on the roster of the rookie-level Dominican Summer League Nationals, is effective immediately.
