One could understand if Billy Horschel did not go into last weekend’s BYRON NELSON CLASSIC, the last one to be played at TPC Four Seasons in Dallas, in the best frame of mind.

After all, he had missed four straight cuts in the last four tournaments he had entered and had not won a FedEx Cup event on the PGA Tour since 2014.

While this course was never one of Horschel’s favorites, after battling with Jason Day on Sunday to win on the first playoff hole, Horschel now wishes they would continue to play this venerable tournament on this layout.

After Horschel left an 18-foot birdie putt just short on the first playoff hole, he had to settle for par. Thus, he was probably the second most surprised person when Day pulled his attempt wide, giving his opponent the win.

Beginning in 2018, the BYRON NELSON will be played at the Trinity Forest Golf Club, south of downtown Dallas.
