On Saturday night, Champions were crowned  (see accompanying blog) at Riverhead  ( L.I.) Raceway. And, for those out of contention, it was a chance to capture a win in the penultimate weekend of the season.

The Tour Modified Twin 30’s featured two winners who had parked in Victory Lane previously. First,  Shawn Solomito continued his season-long dominance in the Anderson Racing machine. In the second feature, Kyle Soper, whose excellent season was slightly overshadowed in this division, parked the #4 in Victory Lane.

In the Blunderbusts, Rob Bader scored the weekly win as the championship was awarded to Jack Handley.

In Crate Modified, a hotly contested race was won by Dylan Slepian, while the champ was Dave Brigati.

In the Late Models, Kyle Ellwood got the race win while the division went to Jeremy McDermott.

No matter how the season has gone,  Gary Fritz, Jr.  has made a habit of getting one win for the last couple of years. Saturday night was the night for Fritz to park it, while Kenny Hyde Jr won the Figure 8 Division.

ROB McCormick had a breakthrough night with a Super Pro Truck win, but the season-long consistantcy by Roger Turbush at Riverhead and on the New England Truck Series paid off in a title. Finally, Kyle Ellwood got his second win of the evening in the Legends, while Vinny Delaney was Division Champion.
